Dr. Carol Goldberg earned a Ph.D. from Columbia University, with a dissertation on motivation.  She is a licensed psychologist, Fellow of the American Psychological Association, Board Certified in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, and Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology.  She has an unusual combination of training with people of all ages.  After formal training with young children, she earned a postdoctoral Associate in Medicine Certificate from the Hunter/Mt. Sinai Geriatrics Education Center.  

Experience   

Dr. Carol Goldberg is Founder and President of Getting Ahead Programs®.  She has been Chief Psychologist for Mt. Sinai Services, Assistant Clinical Professor at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, and on faculties of several universities.   In addition to her own private practice, she was stress management consultant in the practice of Wilbur J. Gould, M.D., voice specialist to U.S. Presidents, distinguished speakers, and famous performers.  She is a corporate consultant, especially about workplace stress.  She helps individuals achieve their professional and personal goals. 

Elected to the Presidency and other offices in associations and creator of new programs, Dr. Goldberg was honored with a Distinguished Service Award from the New York State Psychological Association, President's Millennium Award from the Nassau County Psychological Association, Award for Outstanding Leadership from the Psychology Internship Directors of New York State, Special Media Award from the New York State Psychological Association, Distinguished Achievement Award from the Nassau County Psychological Association Private Practice Committee, and Continuing Education Award from the New York State Psychological Association.  She has served on the Ethics Committee of the New York State Psychological Association and the Ethics Committee of the Clients' Center, an association of attorneys and financial and health professionals.  She has been Chair of  the Marketing and Public Relations Committee of the New York State Psychological Association, the New Markets Committee for the Nassau County Psychological Association, the NYSPA Public Relations Team, and currently is on the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award Committee, Committee for Executive Leadership, and is a Media Ambassador for the New York State Psychological Association.  Detailed list of professional associations and related photos.
